FASCarbon’s Disruptive Innovation Creates Positive Outcomes for Multiple Markets

Investing in new businesses is a way of getting in on the ground floor if they become successful, and it’s a way of encouraging and supporting entrepreneurs who have the courage to put their economic lives on the line to bring us new ideas and innovations.
I’ve decided to invest in another startup. This is a reversal, because I had earlier decided no more startups for me – I’m too old for the high risk and the long wait for results – they usually take 5-7 years to pay off, and that’s if they even make it (most startups fail).
But this is different. Imagine a new business venture that already has a guaranteed market for a new source of an already established product line with no problems with a supply line for the raw materials needed
I’m talking about Frontieras North America.
This is a ‘shameless plug’, because I already put a little of my own money into it. So I have an interest in this now; I can’t claim to be unbiased.
Frontieras.com has figured out how to be “cleanly transforming coal into valuable by-products like hydrogen, diesel, jet fuel, fertilizer and essential industrial chemicals”.
“Coal is the king of energy resources: it’s one of the most abundant and reliable energy sources on the planet, filled with valuable resources that can power civilization.
However, the global switch to alternative energy and rising oil costs have cast a shadow on the industry, shutting down coal plants and stifling essential innovation.
Few realize the potential of bringing coal into the clean energy era – instead of shutting down coal plants, our technology gives them the ability to switch to a low-emissions fuel, while unleashing coal’s immense value as a clean fuel and key materials resource.”

I love this idea, because coal is one of our most abundant resources, and one of our most reliable sources of energy, which is so badly needed for today’s world. I’ve been saddened by seeing so many coal power plants shut down, even though modern technology has made coal burning much cleaner than it used to be.
But Frontieras is talking about a whole new ball game - not burning coal, but instead converting it into many different products. This is the same way crude oil made Rockefeller rich - he converted it and refined it into many different products.
I’ll no doubt be writing some more about this new coal processing method.
Interesting and promising project. Not poo pooing this idea by any means. How much energy is lost to convert coal to a “cleaner form” of energy. I hope it isn’t like ethanol production….. As most everyone is aware coal can be used very cleanly to heat water and make steam to produce electricity. We should be using it everyday! It’s one of the greatest forms of energy security we have.
It is a little more work, but it is a lot cheaper than trucked in propane and more reliable than electric heat.
