Power, Pride, and Prejudice
Pridefully Pretending to Know What's Best for the Rest of us
(see ‘jab danger’ a few paragraphs down)
“…love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you…” sermon on the mount, Matthew 5:44
Power – the Motivation Underlying the Global Warming Narrative
“Never let a crisis go to waste” – and if there is no crisis, create one. Global warming was made to permeate our culture and to become the central problem to be controlled, even though it’s not really a problem, and even if it was, it couldn’t be controlled by humans…also today – broken EV chargers, Sudden Adult Death Syndrome (SADS) from mRNA ‘vaccines’, hydrogen fuel, ‘sequestered’ CO2, wind energy problems, mortgage rates, how to buy Treasury Bills, an update on David Daleiden’s persecution for recording Planned Parenthood’s illegal selling of aborted baby parts, and an Oregon law against recording a conversation is struck down
The goal – government control and power
The bigger and more powerful government is, the more greedy and corrupt are those in power, and the more reluctant they are to give it up. That’s why we have career politicians. And that’s why they legislate and administer in such a way as to exert more and more control.
Subsidize it
Subsidies control the direction of business investment and in the form of grants, they control the direction of scientific research. In the case of research, subsidies are like bribes to produce the kind of results the government wants to see instead of being an unbiased search for truth.
Suppress or cancel all information that is contrary to the government narrative.
If necessary, even make it a criminal offense to voice opposing views.

“The major advances seen in vaccine development during the global Covid-19 pandemic were thrown into sharp relief following the tragic, rare cases of vaccine-induced immune thrombosis. (They’re finally admitting it) While there were alternative vaccines (not naming the culprit, but it’s probably Moderna or Pfizer) available to continue to provide protection against the coronavirus in some countries around the world, understanding the mechanisms behind these cases are critical to ensuring that the technology for delivering vaccines can be used with confidence in the future.” Dr Pip Nicolson, the University of Birmingham.
From “Coffee and Covid” 10/26
“… The Times of India ran a SADs story this week headlined, “10 Die Of Heart Attack At Garba Events In Gujarat, Youngest Was 17.”
The Gujarat province of India, population 62.7 million, enjoys an annual holiday called “Garba” featuring colorful costumes and carefree dancing. The popular festival has always been a much loved and anticipated celebration when Indians can shed their cares, let their hair down, bust a move and generally enjoy themselves.
Until a menacing threat obscured this year’s dancing joys.
According to the Times, over 500 ambulances were called in the first 24 hours during Garba this year. Five hundred. There were so many emergency calls that the government even issued an emergency alert, asking organizers to take “all necessary measures” to be prepared for … wait for it … cardiac incidents.
For some reason, they wanted defibrillators and people trained in CPR on hand. For the first time in history. Weird.
In just the first 24 hours of this year’s festival, at least 10 heart attack deaths were reported during Garba events, with the youngest victim being only 17 years old. They died mid-dance. Another 13-year-old, not counted in those numbers, also died shortly after getting home from a Garba party.” You have to keep in mind that Jeff Childers, author of “Coffee and Covid”, is sometimes sarcastic, as here in his close: “What on Earth? Totally unrelated, over 2 billion vaccine doses were delivered into Indian arms as of September 1, 2022 (mostly AstraZeneca).”
save the whales!
from “Public” “wind energy company Orsted has canceled its South New Jersey projects, Ocean Wind 1 and 2, in the face of rising public opposition, evidence that wind industry activities were killing whales, and worsening economics. Ocean Wind 1 and 2 would have sited more than 200 massive wind turbines just 15 miles away from the New Jersey shore. Orsted’s stock has fallen 60% this year and the New York Times estimates it will have to write off $5.6 billion in investments in the two projects.”
…as I was reading the above article about Orsted, Bev was watching Watter’s World, and I glanced up and saw that he had Marc Morano, publisher of the “Climate Depot”, on set, saying that the offshore wind ‘dream’ has turned into a wind ‘nightmare’. See also ‘wind problems’ below, under the Finance section
broken chargers
From Marketwatch - I just learned about this…
“America has a lot of broken electric vehicle chargers. So many, according to a new report, that there aren’t enough qualified technicians to fix them.
Industry publication Automotive News examined data from the U.S. Department of Energy and concluded that “Nearly 4,000 public charging stations with more than 7,000 ports were out of service as of early October.” Nationwide, that means about 6% of public charging stations are down at any given time.”
hydrogen fuel is no bargain
I wrote about the hydrogen pipe dream as a “green” fuel in “Nuclear Fusion and Hydrogen”
Here from “Energy Newsbeat” is another opinion on hydrogen that agrees with me and adds many facts and points out several things I hadn’t thought of..
“The inflation causing, $1.2 trillion green give away, also known as the Democrats’ Inflation Reduction Act, includes $9 billion for hydrogen hubs. A hydrogen hub is where our federal government will waste billions with little or nothing to show for it…Making “green” hydrogen requires massive amounts of full-time electricity. About 35% more energy than the hydrogen created contains…Making green hydrogen at scale hasn’t been done yet. A lot of energy is needed to purify water, super heat it to 2,000°, electrocute it, super freeze it to near absolute zero, and compress it to three times the pressure of your average scuba tank…”
‘sequestered’ CO2 to be injected into ground reservoirs?
I remember reading about the horrible catastrophe in Cameroon back in 1986, when 1700 people died from CO2! The following excerpts are from an article by “Environmental” on 10/31
“On August 21, 1986, a lake overturn or “limnic eruption” occurred at Lake Nyos in northwest Cameroon. Limnic eruptions are rare natural disasters in which dissolved CO2 erupts from deep lake waters, ejecting a cloud that is heavier than air and rises rapidly, then sinks on to the surrounding area…Hundreds of thousands (possibly millions) of tons of CO2 were released from Lake Nyos forming a gas cloud that rose at over 50 miles per hour, then descended over surrounding villages. It displaced the oxygen at ground level, suffocating people and livestock within ~15 miles of the lake. Over 1,700 villagers perished along with about 3,500 livestock in a matter of hours…”
Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) is a very expensive way to deal with the carbon emissions from coal plants.
“Capturing and storing CO2, whether by DAC or post-combustion processes, requires a lot of energy. For coal-fired power plants, for example, an additional 15% - 45% more coal needs to be burned to provide the energy required for CCS.”
Direct Air Capture (DAC) is even less efficient and more expensive, so it requires even more subsidies to induce any company to get involved in it.
“…the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) substantially increases tax incentives under section 45Q of the U.S. tax code for “carbon capture”. The prior tax credit for sequestered CO2 increased from $50/metric ton to $85/metric ton for power generation and industry and to a whopping $185/metric ton for DAC sequestration… Sequestering CO2 in geologic reservoirs carries some degree of risk to human health and the environment. While we would argue whether the benefits of CCS exceed the costs, we consider the likelihood of occurrence low. We group them into three main categories:
· Physical risk – large scale sudden release from reservoirs causing a CO2 cloud to settle over a populated area resulting in death of humans and animals. Or large-scale gradual release causing sequestered CO2 to reenter the atmosphere defeating the purpose.
· Groundwater contamination – high concentrations of CO2 in groundwater would reduce pH through formation of carbonic acid should sequestered CO2 accidentally migrate upward to drinking water aquifers. This has the potential to leach naturally occurring metals from soils, including some that are hazardous to humans and the environment.
· Induced seismicity – forcing liquids underground under high pressure can lead to increased micro-seismic events. Localized earthquakes have been well documented from fracking…How successful will DAC be at capturing and sequestering a material enough volume of atmospheric CO2 to make a difference? Color us skeptical.”
Don’t worry, I’m not saying it’s as dangerous as the ’86 disaster in Cameroon; it’s nowhere near the scale, for one thing. However, would you want one of these underground reservoirs of CO2 in your backyard? Me neither.

wind problems from Bloomberg 10/28/2023
“General Electric Co. expects its offshore-wind operations to post annual losses of about $1 billion for this year and next as the industry struggles with rising costs…“Next year, we expect offshore will have similar losses but substantially improved cash performance...offshore-wind developers face increasing challenges including supply-chain disruptions, rising costs for components and higher interest rates. That’s likely to delay some projects and push out demand for turbines.”

First time home buyers are practically out of the market. The only buyers are those who just sold a house they already had, and are able to pay cash.
treasury bills (aka T-Bills) and how to buy them - get about 5% interest
Treasury bills are short term; 1 year or less. Anyone with at least $1000 to invest can buy a T-Bill. This is important in a time when it’s hard to know how to safely invest your cash, and when banks pay so little, unless you commit to a CD that has penalties for early withdrawal. All you have to do is go to treasurydirect.gov , open an account, and connect it to your bank for funding electronically. Then Click “BuyDirect” in top navigation bar. Choose “Bills” under “Marketable Securities.”…Pick your term, auction date, purchase amount and reinvestment (optional).
As an example, suppose you start with the minimum $1000 T-Bill. The way it works is your buy order will be placed on the ‘auction’ date you selected. Then, the settlement date is a few days later. Depending on the interest dates at the auction, your $1000 T-Bill will actually cost you the amount determined by the rate and the term. Let’s say that turns out to be $950, which will be deducted from your bank account. Then, at the end of the term, the full $1000 will be sent back to your bank account, unless you selected to automatically reinvest it in another T-Bill.
FAITH
“When they drag you into their meeting places, or into police courts and before judges, don't worry about defending yourselves—what you'll say or how you'll say it. The right words will be there. The Holy Spirit will give you the right words when the time comes.” Luke 12:11-12, The Message Bible
update on David Daleiden’s battle with Planned Parenthood
From the Thomas More Society
“..the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit just ruled Oregon’s anti-undercover recording law is unconstitutional:
After years of hard work by undercover journalists and First Amendment attorneys, building case precedent on top of case precedent, a 3-judge panel of the Ninth Circuit struck down the Oregon recording law….The Court held that, “The act of recording is itself an inherently expressive activity that merits First Amendment protection.”
This is a resounding victory for undercover journalism...And that’s where David Daleiden comes into the picture….California’s law against undercover recording is nearly identical to Oregon’s law! ...So our blockbuster motion argues that the prosecution against David must be tossed under the First Amendment, as newly interpreted by the Ninth Circuit….The Superior Court has set us for hearing on this motion on November 17. I’m looking forward to personally arguing this motion for David, in San Francisco.
Please pray for wisdom for our team and our judge as we approach this critical hearing…David Daleiden is the only journalist ever charged with a violation of the undercover recording law by the California Attorney General.
Artificial intelligence vs reality and legal evidence
“be of good cheer: for the first 200 years of the Nation’s life, we didn’t even have all this digitized media evidence, and we still did just fine…The legal system will have to revert back to human evidence and exhibits you can hold in your hand. Same as 2,000 years ago.”
Which reminds me of “Evidence That Demands a Verdict” by Josh McDowell – an in- depth compilation of reams of historical evidence that the bible is true and that Jesus really did raise from the grave and is coming back. This solid evidence was brought long before there was AI generated fake info. If you’re a skeptic, I dare you to read this book with an open mind.
