today is a little something extra - this was on my mind and I just had to get it written down…
Pro Choice = pro abortion = pro death
Pro Life = pro life
Embryo = Webster’s New Word Dictionary “an animal in the earliest stages of its development in the uterus”
Fetus = “the unborn young of an animal”
A euphemism is a way of saying something that doesn’t sound so bad. “Pro choice” doesn’t sound bad, like “pro death”.
A connotation is often a word’s characteristic that can bring out emotions by association. The word “baby” has a very strong emotional connotation. Everybody loves babies and sympathizes with them and wants to take care of them. For that reason, pro choice folks never use the word “baby”. Instead, they like to use totally non-emotional words like embryo or fetus.
In the same way, an abortion may be described as “removal of the fetus”, or something like that. “Removal” doesn’t sound as bad as “killing”, even though killing is exactly what is happening.
And horrors – if anyone described what’s really going on – the KILLING of a BABY.
Biologically, the moment a sperm fertilizes an egg, the complete DNA for a unique and special human has come into being. The difference between that human BABY and one that has been forming for nine months in the womb is time and nutrition. There is no difference in the genome, which was all there on day one.
Conclusion: abortion is the killing of a baby.
The pro death culture has been spreading beyond abortion.
The hysterical fear of climate change, which by the way is a euphemism for global warming, has become so worrisome to some people that they have literally lost their minds. It has gotten to the point that the culture of death movement is actually wanting to kill cows off because they expel CO2 and methane (CH3) into the air.
Bill Gates, Al Gore, and Ted Turner all have said the world needs to reduce population growth.
And of course abortion fits right into that kind of thinking – as an obvious way of reducing population growth.
The bible tells us that all life was created by God, and that children are a blessing from God. The whole process of childbirth, from conception to the development in the womb, to birth itself, when a baby draws its first breath, is usually described as “miraculous”, even by people who, in contradiction, say they believe in evolution.
And there’s something more – the bible also tells us that mankind is different from the rest of the animal kingdom – man is made in God’s image, which certainly includes a spiritual nature. Man has a spirit. Life is sacred.
