But first, if you want to know how useful the blockchain is, read this.
Brennan Whitfield has written a terrific piece on how the blockchain is impacting our world. He writes:
“Blockchain applications go far beyond cryptocurrency and Bitcoin. With its ability to create more transparency and fairness while also saving businesses time and money, the technology is impacting a variety of sectors in ways that range from how contracts are enforced to making government work more efficiently.”
“We’ve rounded up 33 examples of real-world blockchain use cases for this pragmatic yet revolutionary technology. It’s far from an exhaustive list, but they’re already changing how we do business.”
His first example is Chainalysis.
“Chainalysis helps financial institutions and governments monitor the exchange of cryptocurrencies and investigate blockchain activity. The company’s tools aim to detect fraudulent trading, laundering and compliance violations as well as gauge NFT security risk, all to build trust in blockchain.”
The reason Chainalysis and others can trace Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency transactions is because of the complete transparency of the movement of the digital coins, unlike fiat money cash transactions when cash and not checks are used. Every Bitcoin buy, sell, or transfer is recorded forever on the blockchain, confirmed by thousands of computers globally, and accessible and open for anyone to log into. The names of the buyers and sellers aren’t shown, but when they ‘cash out’ or eventually convert their cryptocurrency back to local currency, that transaction must be through a bank, and the name on the account will have to be disclosed if there is a subpoena for the bank records.

Now, our topic
The fossil record
Evolutionists have long held that the fossil record is some kind of proof for the theory of evolution. What we don’t hear in school or college is that fossils are a much stronger proof AGAINST the theory of evolution.
Extinction is not evolution
When a line of plants or animals dies out, we say it’s gone extinct. That’s not upward change, and has nothing to do with evolution.
Sudden appearance
There are ‘basement’ metamorphised rocks that have no fossils. Then there are sedimentary rock layers that have all kinds of fully formed organisms. There’s no lead-in; no gradual increase in complexity; no transitional forms. So paleontologists refer to this as a “sudden appearance”.
Laid down by water, quickly
Fossils are found in sedimentary layers that were laid down by water. A plant or animal has to be buried in sediments quickly in order to be preserved. Otherwise, it would decay or be eaten. Thousands of feet of sedimentary layers are found all over the earth, a great evidence of the world-wide flood during Noah’s day. A very good case can be made for Noah’s Flood being the time when most fossils were formed.
And if you’re wondering about the dinosaurs, yes, we have evidence that they lived alongside us humans. There are footprints in stone of dinosaurs and humans in the same track. There are petroglyphs with sketches that look just like dinosaurs. And what about all the stories about dragons? The word “dinosaur” wasn’t coined until the mid-1800s. Before that, they would have been called dragons. And yes, the bible describes a couple dinosaurs quite vividly and accurately. Look up the descriptions of Behemoth and Leviathon in the book of Job.
stasis
The fossils are a distinct picture of stasis. The very fact that fossils can even be identified and correlated with our modern classifications and taxonomy is possible because the plants and animals we observe today look basically the same as their fossil forms.
No transitional forms
If Darwin was right about all life forms having evolved over time from simple to more complex, then we would expect to find millions of transitional forms. It would be exceedingly rare to be able to identify anything that corresponds with present forms. For example, the number of changes that would need to take place to change a dinosaur into a bird would involve so many in-between stages that you wouldn’t know when to stop calling it a dinosaur and start calling it a bird. In today’s Latin biological nomenclature, there would be no counterpart for any of the transitional forms.
But that’s not what we find. Fossils are distinctly formed, and distinct from each other, just like life kinds today.
We have no trouble distinguishing a cat from a dog, or an apple tree from a pear tree.
Fossils appear complete whenever and wherever they’re found, with no transitional stages. The handful of fossils that are claimed to be transitional are unconvincing and disputed.
Living fossils
When I first heard about living fossils, I assumed any living fossil was a fluke; a rarity. The first one I read about was the Coelacanth, which was caught by a fisherman, even though it was supposed to have gone extinct 60 million years ago. I was interested, and bought a 48 page book called “Living Fossils”, 1997, by James Martin. Mr. Martin unwittingly reinforced my initial idea that living fossils must be rare indeed. In his introduction, he states
“In the last 500 million years, countless numbers of species have appeared, lived for a time, and then vanished. Some species evolved into new forms, while others died out. But a few managed to survive changes on earth without changing themselves…We call these survivors “living fossils.”
He seems to have missed the significance of his statement which I put in bold above – “without changing themselves”. [That’s Stasis! - not evolution]
His book covered the horseshoe crab, the nautilus, the coelacanth, the crocodilians, the komodo dragon, and the cockroach.

Everything is a living fossil!
Later, in 2008, a much more comprehensive work also called “Living Fossils” was written by Dr. Carl Werner, filled with 700 full color photos taken by his photographer wife, Debbie Werner. This is an 81/2 X 11”, 272 page hardcover that is volume 2 in the series “Evolution: The Grand Experiment.” (see below)
After perusing this awesome book, I came to realize that it might not be possible to find any living organism that could not be called a living fossil! I’ll rephrase that: everything alive today is a living fossil. Can you prove me wrong? Scroll down to leave a comment or a question, but if you disagree, please say it nicely!
From the publisher’s description on Amazon:
“Living fossils are organisms found preserved in the fossil record, which still exist in similar form today. If the core concepts of the theory of evolution presuppose change over time, then how can these living fossils exist for millions of years remaining virtually unchanged?”
“Whether a shark, leaf, or crab, living fossils are a challenge for evolutionary theorists and create a fascinating debate among scholars. Do they indicate a younger earth than thought, placing the millions of years timeline of evolution in question?”
What makes this book so special is the fact that it not only has pictures of the living fossils; it compares them side by side with pictures showing the same thing as a fossil.
Here is an example of a page from the book:

This is convincing evidence that the theory of evolution is seriously flawed, and it also brings into question the alleged millions of years time scale. Even if evolution is not true, you’d think things would at least change a little bit over millions of years. So a logical conclusion is that our world is not millions of years old and thus evolution as we were taught in school is impossible.
next week - following through on the misinformation being promulgated in the public school system - it’s not just evolution, it’s critical race theory (CRT) and global warming and transgenderism and other things. The answer? Home schooling - that will be our focus next time.
