before getting into a deep discussion on worldview, I have some updates on the lies and terrible consequences (in many cases) of so-called vaccines, the supply situation with lithium batteries for Evs, solid state batteries, the case for CO2 , the economic and practical impossibility of “Net Zero” (the idea of relying completely on renewables and eliminating fossil fuels), the development of CBDCs (central bank digital currencies) and ongoing war against cash, and the coming depression

SCIENCE
so-called vaccines
Jim Rickards’ Paradigm Press 10/22
“data alone (and a lot more besides) shows that the vaccines didn’t work at all. Public health officials covered up deadly side effects of the vaccines that are just now coming to light as healthy 24-year old athletes who were vaxxed are dropping dead of myocarditis and pericarditis on the playing fields. They covered up the fact that Anthony Fauci funded the research in China that caused the pandemic. They claimed that masks prevent infection from the virus. Another lie. Can the lying and fraud by public health officials get any worse? Sadly, the answer is, yes… …the government of New Zealand granted thousands of exemptions from taking vaccines to government officials even as private citizens were threatened with arrest, job loss, fines and concentration camps if they refused to take the vaccines. Hypocrisy in government is nothing new, but here’s a case where citizens’ lives were ruined if they refused a vaccine while at the same time government officials who were cronies of the public health authorities were granted waivers. New Zealand recently elected a new conservative government, which is why some of these files from the former neo-fascist government are now being released. Let’s hope we get some similar sunshine and transparency”
Alex Berensen’s “Unreported Truths” follows the ‘vaccine’ fiasco very closely:
“Young children had a significantly elevated risk of seizures and convulsions after receiving mRNA Covid jabs, Food and Drug Administration scientists have found.
The FDA researchers quietly released the finding, which comes from an analysis of insurance claims databases, earlier this week. The FDA and Centers for Disease Control did not meet a deadline on questions if CDC knew of the finding before it advised kids to receive more mRNA Covid boosters last month.”
“Epoch Times” has also been chiming in on the failure of mRNA vaccines. This was in Jeff Childers’ “Coffee&Covid” piece on 10/24:
“Epoch’s article reported on a peer reviewed German study, published on October 12th in the British Journal of Pharmacology titled, “Cardiac side effects of RNA-based SARS-CoV-2 vaccines: Hidden cardiotoxic effects of mRNA-1273 and BNT162b2 on ventricular myocyte function and structure.” - the article is ‘paywalled’, meaning you have to pay to read the whole thing, but you get the point just from the headline…
supply chokepoint for battery-making materials
fascinating chart by IEA (International Energy Agency) showing our dependency on China for necessary components for making lithium batteries for EVs - I got this from David Blackmon’s “Energy Transition Absurdities” 10/24
David explains the chart: “By now, pretty much everyone understands that the supply chains for the array of critical energy minerals needed to build batteries for EVs and stationary storage backup for renewable energy flow mainly through China. Doesn’t really matter where the minerals like lithium, cobalt, graphite, antimony, copper and others are produced - at some point in the processing, refining and transport chain the preponderance of them must make their way through the Ancient Kingdom.”
Stu Turley’s “Energy Newsbeat” is on top of this, too. Read his article here
a possible new battery that would be much better than lithium
this from Doomberg, 10/24
“An alternative interpretation—one that Toyota executives have signaled both directly and indirectly over the years—is that the company has long been deeply skeptical of contemporary lithium-ion batteries as the correct long-term solution for EVs. These batteries use highly flammable liquid electrolytes, something Toyota suspected would condemn the technology to unacceptable fire risk, lower recharging speeds, and insufficient range. Moreover, the company was convinced it was sitting on a game-changing innovation that would make current batteries obsolete. Counting on a careful application of slow and steady improvements to an alternative development of solid-state batteries, it would overcome the shortcomings of existing lithium-ion technology, quiet its critics, and position the company for another generation of global leadership. Earlier this month, Toyota staked a bold claim on success in this regard (emphasis added throughout):
“Toyota has struck a deal with fellow Japanese company Idemitsu Kosan to mass produce ultra-high-range EVs with solid-state batteries.
It's the first major update on the company's plans to be the first to offer these next-gen batteries. Toyota says the new technology will eventually enable EVs to go 932 miles on a single charge and power up in just 10 minutes, due to the higher energy density.”
- another company that’s been working on solid state batteries is Panasonic, but as far as I know, they’re still a long way from scaling up to a commercially viable product
CO2 is good; not bad; and no chance of “net zero” anyway
from Azra Dale’s “Tango With Renewables” reprint of Matt Ridley’s article as published by the Mail Online which reveals some of the absolute insanity of the UK Government’s “net zero” agenda. Read whole article Here
“Three economists recently recalculated the social cost of carbon in light of the latest estimates of how sensitive the climate is to carbon dioxide — and how well carbon dioxide is now known to improve agricultural yields.
Their conclusion was clear: 'The lower bound of the (estimated) social cost of carbon is likely negative and the upper bound is much lower than previously claimed, at least through the mid- 21st century.' - in other words, carbon in atmosphere is not bad
They found that until 2050, carbon dioxide in the air might well be generating net benefits through higher levels of photosynthesis and increased growth in green vegetation.
Worse still, the £1 trillion cost that the NIC has estimated is almost certainly a huge underestimate. National Grid says net zero will cost three times that much, £3 trillion”
we could never achieve ‘net zero’ anyway, because how long would any type of machinery last without oil for lubrication - and remember how many other products are made from petroleum…
…"Now imagine a world in which we spend all this money, the Chinese government continues to ignore our example (it's building the equivalent of two new coal-fired power stations per week right now) and climate change takes place anyway — but then around 2050, cheap fusion power, or a cheaper and better form of nuclear fission, comes on-stream, with near-zero emissions. We will look like idiots.”
FINANCE
the dollar, the rise of digital currencies, and the disappearance of cash
CBDCs are already being phased in. The cashless society is 99% here. Soon I expect to see digital account cards being given to everyone, including the homeless. Welfare money can then be simply added to their account with a click. (Money, like taxes or fines, can also be deducted with a simple click.) And there’s a cost to personal freedom and privacy, which will be almost non-existent, since every dollar will be tracked by the banks, which will report at the federal government’s bidding.
from Jim Rickards’ “Paradigm Press”
“the U.S. has hurt the position of the dollar by weaponizing it in political disputes that have nothing to do with international finance. The U.S. has put sanctions on Russia as a result of the War in Ukraine. The U.S. has extended those sanctions to China because it is helping Russia in the war. The U.S. also has economic sanctions on Venezuela, Iran, North Korea, Cuba, Syria and other nations. At what point do other nations decide that using the dollar is just not worth it if they expose themselves to U.S. sanctions as a result? It appears we have now reached that point. The most extreme sanctions imposed by the U.S. so far consist of freezing about $250 billion of the dollar reserves of the Central Bank of Russia. Frozen accounts are not actually converted to U.S. ownership. It just means the funds are unavailable to the lawful owner until pending disputes are resolved. Now a member of Congress proposes going even further as described here. Congressman Rich McCormick (R. GA) has introduced legislation that would convert the frozen Russian assets to U.S. control to be used to reimburse the money spent by the U.S. to help Ukraine. This is not just a freezing of assets, it’s outright theft. Russia has weathered the sanctions just fine; it’s economy will grow about 2.3% this year. Stealing the Russian money won’t hurt Russia. It will hurt the dollar as trading nations work even harder to get out from under dollar hegemony, so their assets are not stolen as well.”
recession? more likely a depression
Don’t put your trust in worldly goods or money or houses or even any guaranteed standard of living - put your trust in God. It looks to me like our nation (and others too) is spending itself into oblivion. I just don’t see how it can go on much longer without a serious collapse. Instead of responsibly trying to pay down the nearly 34 trillion $ debt, it looks like we’ll be adding to it with a 2 trillion $ deficit for 2023. I have a feeling that when the chickens come home to roost, it’s going to be very bad. Pray for our leaders, that we can still live in peace and safety.
Bitcoin (BTC)
Bitcoin started rising this week on news that a BTC ETF (exchange-traded fund) will soon be approved. It hovered around $27- 28000 for weeks, but as I write this it’s up to $34000. I’ve been watching and dabbling in cryptocurrencies since 2020, and recently re-evaluated the risks. My conclusion at that time was to reduce exposure but to stay invested at a level that wouldn’t cause any loss of sleep. I’ll still have a finger in the pie in case it does turn out to be a real winner.
FAITH
another attack by rabid pro-abortion (pro-death) activists
reported by Thomas More Society - they will defend Heartbeat International in this lawsuit…
“California Attorney General Rob Bonta just filed a huge lawsuit targeting Heartbeat International—seeking to shut down their Abortion Pill Rescue® Network.
Heartbeat International’s Abortion Pill Rescue Network provides access to Abortion Pill Reversal providers, along with crucial information and resources about how to save the baby….to date, over 4,500 babies are alive thanks to Heartbeat International’s life-saving work all over the globe. And that number continues to grow.
Your Worldview Makes a Huge Difference
Everything boils down to two basic views – unguided evolution or supernatural creation. They are fundamentally incompatible. Attempts to combine the two ideas, as in ‘theistic’ evolution, are not logically sound, because the theory of evolution (hereafter just named as ‘evolution’) is atheistic in its very nature. It’s an attempt to explain life by naturalistic means, eliminating the supernatural.
Atheism leads to belief in evolution, because man wants to know where we came from and how life began. Supposed alternate theories aren’t really alternates. For example, saying that we evolved from simple single-cell life forms like bacteria or yeast that was seeded on earth by alien visitors begs the question and just ‘kicks the can down the road’ – because then the question is still unanswered - How did life begin on other planets?
Logically, if evolution were true, there would be no moral absolutes; no right or wrong; no meaning or purpose to life. Evolutionists who have a sense of right and wrong are not being consistent with their philosophy of life, although they might not realize it. Their morality has no foundation.
Belief in evolution leads to hopelessness. If life came about by random chance; a mere accident, then there can be no purpose or meaning. If we are simply animals, and no more than animals, then it makes perfect sense that we can hardly be blamed for acting like animals. And this is what we often see after young folks have been taught evolution in school and college. About the only thing that restrains them is parental guidance and perhaps a fear of arrest for law-breaking. With no hope or purpose in life, hopelessness and suicide increases. Mass murders increase. Lawlessness increases.
Abortion becomes acceptable because why not? If life is only an outcome of random accident, then it’s expendable.
Attempts to change your gender becomes acceptable, again, because why not? If we’re an evolving accident of nature with no Designer, there’s no design to appreciate or respect or value. You can try to be your own designer. (Good luck with that!)
Even genocide becomes acceptable under certain conditions – like if you want to develop a ‘master race’ like Hitler sought, who got this idea from believing that some people were more ‘evolved’ than others.
Reducing the world’s population becomes acceptable, if you believe two things: that life is expendable, and that the world is overpopulated and producing too much CO2 (a completely unproven idea, by the way).
But if you believe in supernatural creation (hereafter just called ‘creation’), then life is designed and has purpose and meaning. This gives hope. Belief in creation leads to a desire to know the Creator, which leads us to read the bible, because the bible does claim to be a revelation from God as the creator of all life, with mankind (hereafter just called ‘man’) a special part of creation, not just another animal.
Man is not just a material collection of cells. There is a spiritual side to man’s nature. We are body, soul, and spirit. Evolution is a philosophy that ignores spirit, and reduces everything to material. But where did the material come from? Where did energy come from? Where did the laws of physics, chemistry, and math come from? Evolution can’t answer those kind of questions, but creation gives us a simple answer – God is the source. Creation is not just a philosophy. Creation is either true or it isn’t. And if it’s true, then there is a supernatural component to all life.
If man was created by God, then man is subject to God, whether he likes it or not. We are accountable to God. We have no right to take another’s life, except perhaps in self defense or in defense of others or on a national level in defense of country. Human life is sacred.
Creation as a worldview gives special meaning to life. Truth is recognized as absolute; not relative. If God is our creator, he is such regardless of whether we believe it or not. Our belief or unbelief has no effect on the absolute truth. The same is true of the bible. It’s either from God or it isn’t. And if it is, it’s the most important book ever written, so anyone who doesn’t study it is foolish indeed.
The gospel truth
The basic theme and message of the bible starts by saying that God created man in his image, and that his creation was very good. All good things come from God. Many of these good things are spiritual in nature, like love and beauty. The message of the bible goes on to show that God gave man the freedom to choose the good things and obey his commands (his commands are absolute by the way; they are not just suggestions) or to choose to disobey and choose evil. Unfortunately, we all have chosen to disobey at times, so we are all guilty and deserve the punishment that he has decreed, which is death. Ultimately, even death has a spiritual aspect. Spiritual death is separation from God and everything that is good. But because he loves us, he has provided a way to save us from the fate of spiritual death. Jesus our savior the son of God came to earth out of love, to open the door to eternal life in heaven with him. He paid the price of our disobedience and sin. He suffered a painful death in our place. His blood was shed for us. But God raised him from the dead and some day, perhaps very soon, he’s coming back. If you believe that with all your heart, you can be saved and can receive the gift of eternal life. This is the good news of the gospel.
The results in daily life
So creation as a worldview leads to a Christian worldview, which is full of love and hope and joy and meaning and purpose. Things like the ‘fruit of the Spirit’ – “love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control”, and such, as opposed to what comes as an outcome of evolution’s worldview – “sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, hostilities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, envying, drunkenness, carousing,” and such. (See Galations 5:19-23) I hope and pray that you’ll choose to follow Jesus and receive all the blessings of heaven.
generally publishing once a week, on Thursdays…usually something from science, especially energy and biology, something from finance and investing, and something from the perspective of faith and Christianity
the creation need not have purpose and meaning and still not be evolutionary.
what if the design of life is not centered on humanity? the creative intelligence may imbue the universe with method and still not purpose.
