You will certainly agree that what we consider to be "the laws of physics" is a set of rules which is the result of the continuous application of the scientific method.
And the scientific method is - by definition - a method which MUST continually update the set of results it produces.
Which means: What we believe to be The Truth today will be shown to be a partial Truth tomorrow. That is the real power of Science, and the reason we use it.
So, as scientists, it is our duty to ALWAYS keep an open mind, and to indeed investigate that which boggles our mind.
I agree somewhat - that science should be a search for the truth, with an open mind. Theories should be tested, and have to be falsifiable for when the evidence proves them wrong. But I confess my mind is rather closed when it comes to any theory that contradicts physical laws that have already been very thoroughly tested. The only one who ever defied the laws of physics is the one who walked on water - because he created those laws, and controls them.

Just note that with this technology, it's not actually about defying or contradicting any existing laws of physics: Because nobody says "new energy is being created" - it's actually only about MAKING VISIBLE energy that HAS ALWAYS BEEN there, "in front of our noses", but that we just haven't perceived yet (due to the ways we have been programmed to look). Here's a thought experiment: How many dimensions Science says our Universe has? 13 is what I heard last. How many dimensions do we actually look at and understand in our equations/laws? 3-4. So what happens in the other 9-10 dimensions? We actually still have no clue whatsoever. So that single fact alone should make us all be VERY open-minded to new concepts/solutions...
What I can say is this: I have studied all that is published on that website, including the math behind it, and I was unable to find "a catch" - it makes perfect sense. Which makes me personally very optimistic about this particular tech...
