Re: coal mines. I have been wondering if the govt drove out of business all the coal mines in the US on purpose. It certainly was effective at causing economic depression and forcing many Americans onto the dole, perpetually dependent on government aid, which can be used to control people.
Prayers to a speedy and full recovery! Government intervention seems plausible, especially after watching all the freedom stealing schemes throughout the scamdemic. Plus Obama is the one that started the war on coal, we know what a socialist he is.
Thank you for this. I have believed for a long time that coal should continue to provide a significant part of our total Primary Energy use. Americans use about 100 Quadrillion BTUs each year and coal should provide at least 10% of the total Primary energy. BTW I just wrote an article reminding folks of the 151 coal plants that were planned to be built in 2007-2009. A good approach for the U.S. would be to dust off the 2008 new coal plant plans and build them now! Nuclear is going to take a while to refurbish/buildout the supply-chain. Coal plants to provide 100,000 to 150,000 MW capacity could be built in 10 years. Then follow with nuclear units. Thanks for your articles, please take care of yourself, we need healthy folks that understand energy so we can help raise the collective American's EnergyIQ :-) https://dickstormprobizblog.org/2025/03/19/the-u-s-self-inflicted-electricity-generation-crisis-was-created-by-gongo-the-swamp-monster-here-is-how-to-end-it/
The US was arguably only one Democrat administration away from catastrophic grid failures due to the wind drought trap that is set by running down coal capacity to the point where there is not enough base load to get through windless nights when wind and solar make no contribution regardless of the installed capacity.
The trap is sprung during wind droughts at night.

Agreed. We’ve been very close to rolling blackouts. We could have wind farms covering every square foot of land in the US and it would all be worthless when it’s not windy.
Glad you’re on the mend.

Yes, it was on purpose. It had become a matter of policy.

Thank you for prayers, Dave. Still needed.
As Substack says “your on the list” consider it done. ✔️🙏

Thank you, Dick.
I am thankful you are feeling better. I was without my computer for a while but that allowed me the time to do some reading (peacefully).

Excellent argument for coal. I’m so grateful you are getting better!
Excellent argument for coal. And, I’m so grateful you are feeling better!
I heat my house at least 50% using a coal stove. It is so much cheaper than the trucked in propane needed for our traditional heat.
