Great compilation - we are continuing to be surrounded by new hazards and the price will continue to climb unfortunately.
I am preparing a wind turbine "full of oil" draft. They are highly dependent on expensive high tech synthetic lubricants that create hazards due to leaks and carcinogens when the burn.
Can't wait for your 'full of oil' post. All those tons of machinery need lubricants! And they still wear out in about 15 years, whereas nuclear is generally figured at a 50 year lifetime, or more.
I think so. Maybe you should put a fire blanket over them when parking them in your garage, especially when re-charging them. I don't leave the house with my pc on the charger, either. If it starts smoking, I want to be able to throw it outdoors!

Um. Are electric lawn mowers and blowers powered by lithium batteries?

And the same I suppose for the batteries for my power tools...?
Disturbing, there’s always one on a charger.
Well, I don't know. I haven't heard of fires in power tool batteries, so hopefully they're safer.
Well my experience indicates so. I’ve been doing that for over ten years. 😜. But my son said something about it at Christmas so I wondered.
