I finally got a chance to read this one. What a dear topic to my heart. Throughout my life, my awe at God's creative power has been the most comforting and consistent part of my faith. I credit my DAD (none other than Al Christie) for teaching me about Genesis 1-11 from a young age, and taking me to creation talks. He also took the time to patiently deconstruct the lies I was being told at school so that I was not brainwashed by my teachers. When I was 13, I got to hear Ken Ham speak in Portland. Dad bought me several books there on dinosaurs and my eyes were opened that the legends of dragons are nothing less than human memory of dragons. Wow. Then, when I was 15, my dad paid for me to go to ICR's summer backpacking trip in the Grand Canyon. What a formative experience that was for my young critical thinking skills as well as my faith in our powerful Creator.

I recommend the "happening now" we just watched: Jack Hibbs and Charlie Kirk of Turning Point on Genesis 11. It's about the Tower of Babel and how it relates to political activity, etc. You can find it on YouTube: https://youtu.be/7bQofg8a9bU

I appreciate learning new details about Henry Morris. I am not surprised he was an engineer! As an adult, I first began seeing engineers question the common nutrition advice (not nutritionists or biologists!). Then, during COVID, there were a LOT of engineers that questioned COVID science (not the epidemiologists or the microbiologists). Engineering must have been one of the last degrees to go woke, because it turned out a higher proportion of critical thinkers. So it doesn't surprise me that Henry Morris applied fresh eyes to the question of the Flood.
