They should deport the violent criminal illegal immigrants to the Vatican. The hypocrisy there is stunning. That said, there should be a sane, reasonable pathway to citizenship for people who want to come here, work hard, obey the law, and make a better life for themselves. Both the immigrants and the country should win.
Yes. I don't know much about the legal pathway to citizenship but have heard it's hard; perhaps unreasonably hard. Immigrants are good for the country if they are willing to work and are for us; not against us or wanting to undermine our culture or government. There should be some kind of test to determine what their real intentions are.
I agree. Here in Colorado Springs virtually all the roofing crews are Spanish speakers. I don’t know their immigration status but they work hard at a tough job. Empower them and make sure they earn appropriate wages and pay taxes.
This Pope and all Popes should not be involved in secular politics. Our Christian nations are being invaded by hordes of people determined to eliminate Christians and all other “non-believers”. No serious leader should tolerate invasions by any border assaults. We can only grow and support our values through orderly legal migration.
Our own immigration policies are not discriminating enough, none the less our unofficial policies supported by ignorant well meaning fools.
It would be good if congress could pass a law requiring proof of citizenship to vote. That would take away the political incentive to encourage illegal immigration and to spend more on illegal immigrants than on our own citizens, like they've done in N.Y. and CA.
A good contrast.

Right on!
